Our Pastor

My name is Randy Schaub, founding Pastor of Crosswalk Community Church, a Non-Denominational church located in Beaver Dam, WI.

I was raised in a Christian home; my dad had pastored for a few years in Nebraska and Iowa before I was born. We then moved to Kansas where I grew up involved in our local Free Methodist church and went on to attend Central Christian College in my hometown, where I met my wife, Judy. On Aug. 9th of this year (2025), we celebrated our 50th anniversary. We have two sons and seven grandchildren, four of which are now in college. I love music, playing the guitar, traveling with Judy, spending time with family and friends and fishing.

I grew up in a Christian home and in the church, so I knew a lot about God and the bible. I was religious, but I had no idea about what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus. That all changed at the age of 35 in March of 1991. I had been to the altar many times, confessing my sin to ease the guilt, but never actually dying to my sin. Everything changed that night for me… I had a genuine 1 John 1:9 moment… “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” That’s exactly what God did for and in me!

In May, just two months later, I felt the call of God on my life. That began a twelve-year journey of Spiritual growth, opportunities to lead numerous bible studies and serve as an Elder at the church we were attending. I took Seminary classes online and in 2001 began a mentoring program with an area pastor I highly respect.  On June 8, 2003 I was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel through the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies and Pastor Warren Heckman, Senior Pastor of Lake City Church (now known as City Church) in Madison, WI and the Elders.

We started a home bible study about the same time as my ordination with three other couples which grew into a small gathering called Abundant Life Christian Fellowship. ALCF was the foundation God laid for us, built upon the truth of God’s Word, and in May of 2008 we opened Crosswalk Community Church. I believe God has called me to teach the Word, not just preach the Word. I have a burden for the church as I believe that many people who attend church have no clue what the bible says, or how to apply it to their lives. Therefore, teaching the Word with practical application to our day-to-day lives has become my passion!
